AR-15 (CAR A-3)

This is the accurized civilian version of the Colt/Armalite M-16 main battle rifle used by the US and some of our allies from Viet Nam until today. It fires the 5.56mm NATO (.223 Remington). The 55 grain projectile is fired at approximately 3240 FPS and generates 1280 Ft/lbs of force.

SAR-48

The SAR-48 is a US made version of the Belgian made FN-FAL main battle rifle used by many European nations. It fires the 7.62 NATO (.308 Winchester). The 150 grain bullet is fired at 2820 FPS and generates 2648 Ft/lbs of force.

Valmet

The Valmet is a Finnish made variant of the Russian AK-47. It fires the 7.62 x 39 Russian. It is used globally and is arguably the most popular rifle and round in the world. The 125 grain bullet is fired at 2300 FPS and generates 1527 Ft/lbs of force.

Weatherby Vanguard

The Weatherby Vanguard is a Japanese made rifle in .300 WSM. It fires a 200 grain round at 3010 FPS generating 3621 Ft/lbs of force. It is extremely accurate with 5-shot groups consistently under an inch at 100 yards.

Steyr HS-50

The Steyr HS-50 is a German made rifle. It fires the .50 caliber BMG round. The 650 grain bullet is fired at 3050 FPS and generates 13,500 Ft/lbs of force.

Remington 11-87

The Remington 11-87 is a 12 Gauge Shotgun used extensively for hunting worldwide. The 427 grain slug is fired at 1800 FPS and generates 2751 Ft/lbs of force.

Pistols

Beretta M-92

The Beretta M-92 is the basic issue pistol of the US Military and is made in Italy and Brazil. It fires the 9mm round. The 115 grain bullet is fired at 1135 FPS and generates 329 Ft/lbs of force.

Thompson Center Contender

The Thompson Center Contender is a US made single shot hunting pistol made in a variety of calibers. This one is the 44 Magnum (no longer the most powerful handgun made!). The 240 grain bullet is fired at 1180 FPS and generates 741 Ft/lbs of force.

STI Tactical 5.0

The STI Tactical 5.0 is a US made variant of the traditional Colt 1911 .45 ACP. It fires a 230 grain bullet at 835 FPS and generates 356 Ft/lbs of force.

Ft/lbs: A standard unit of force required to move one pound one foot
BMG: Browning Machine Gun
Grain: 7000 grains = 1 lb 437 grains = 1 oz
NATO: North Atlantic Treaty Organization
950 FPS ≈ 740 MPH ≈ Mach 1 ≈ Speed of sound at sea level
