Syracuse, NY, April 14, 2010 – While many companies are holding off on hiring, Defenshield has seen significant requests for its ballistic protection equipment products, and as a result has doubled its sales staff by hiring three additional account managers.
“The requirement for protective equipment remains, and has increased substantially over the past year”, said Collins White, President of Defenshield. “We are currently on track for a record year and in order to best meet the needs and expectations of our customers, we are once again expanding our team.”
Joining Defenshield is Mr. James Briley who will work closely with non-military federal agencies in the metro D.C. area; Mr. Dauro Toscano who will be dedicated to state, local and municipal law enforcement agencies as well as select international markets and initiatives; and Mr. Michael VanSlyke who will focus on the U.S. Navy, Marines and Department of State agencies. All three new members bring a wealth of knowledge and experience working with their respective markets and will work directly with Mr. J.P. Paraschos who joined the organization in January as Executive Vice President.
The Defenshield team thanks Congressman Dan Maffei for his continued support and encouragement of the defense sector in Central and Upstate NY. The company works with local suppliers and production companies to produce its products and retain jobs in the area. It has grown from an owner-operated company of one in 2002, to a staff of twelve, including engineers and support staff.
