Syracuse, NY, February 2, 2007 – An expanded warehouse and product testing lab are among the features of the new 7200 sq. ft. space Defenshield moved into yesterday at 14 Corporate Circle in East Syracuse, NY. It is the second expansion in as many years for the growing defense contractor in upstate NY.

“We’ve reached a point where we had to consider our long term growth over the next few years and find a space that would allow us to accommodate that growth without moving again,” said Theresa Brigandi, VP Marketing for Defenshield. The new office has room to consolidate all of the company’s warehouse needs and has considerable laboratory and showroom space.

There are also several extra offices which will accommodate planned hires for 2007, including a production manager and a technical writer. “Over the past year we hired two additional full time staff for our Syracuse office and one in the Washington DC area. We’re planning for two more in ’07 to help us expand our product line and manage current production efficiently.” The company is currently working with the Rapid Equipping Force of the US Army, which would put Defenshield products in use with all four branches of the US Military.
